The Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations has been organised biennially since 1978 by Asia/Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU). This Concours is designed to discover up-and-coming, adult illustrators, graphic designers and artists in Asia (except Japan), the Pacific, Africa, Arab States, Latin America and the Caribbean, to provide an occasion at which they can present their works widely and to offer incentives for their creative activities. The International Jury is comprised of well-known editors and illustrators of children' s books from different countries, and the jury members meet in Tokyo and select one Grand Prize winner,

i am in uia now, did i mention? anyways, there's been rife rumours circulating that i am from singapore/brunei. now where did that come from? just coz i hang out with the foreigners (that is not a nice term, by the way, but all of them use it. i usually use internationals) they think i'm a foreigner as well, one who can't speak malay. whenever we are told to introduce ourselves, they usually ask us where we are from. where am i from? i have no idea. i'm from malaysia, i'd say. stupidly, because its obvious (except to those who thionk i'm from abroad) but what else am i supposed to say. what do they mean when they say where are you from? is

Yay!!!!! i finished the book yesterday, the day it came out. now i have to complete my collection. can u believe this is my first purchased HP book? actually went to kinikuniya at 4am to join the mad dash, but after realising we were not gonna get it free we shot off to tesco to get it (hello, so much cheaper there!0 glad to say all except for 1 of what i predicted or theoriesed came true, all those hours discussing conspiracy theories paid off? its good to know, at the very least. good ending, very definite.
